JOB TITLE: Data Entry Assistant
LOCATION: Wandsworth – Remote working
PAY RATE: £15.04 PAYE per hour
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION/Hours: 6-month initial contract/ 1 day a week (can increase to 2 days after Christmas)
IR35 STATUS: Inside

Job purpose:

  • We are again looking for a bank worker for data entry type work until March 2025. We are looking for 1 day a week up till December and then 2 days from Jan 25.
  • To provide key support to the administration of the procedures under the Children and Families Act 2014 for the Education, Health and Care (EHC) Needs Assessment of children and young people with special educational needs, the issuing of EHC Plans and ongoing annual reviews.
  • To ensure the system (currently Capita ONE) is maintained with good quality data, that reports are generated to support improvements in performance and implement and maintain data quality checks and cleansing routines.

Duties:

  • To manage the SNAS IT system including resolution of technical issues.
  • Responsible for the provision of a range of data in relation to the EHC processes, placements and funding of pupils with EHC Plans including quarterly Council performance indicators and national returns. Ensure that the deadline for all returns is met.
  • Undertake benchmarking against other LAs, highlighting trends where further scrutiny is indicated.
  • Prepare responses to a range of Freedom of information requests in relation to the EHC process and placements of pupils with EHC Plans ensuring that the deadline for these is met.
  • Ensure that accurate finance records are maintained for all pupils with an EHC plan.
  • Ensure Finance has accurate information in order that they can make payments to a range of education providers currently including out-borough schools, tuition agencies and alternative providers, ensuring that payments are made promptly and accurately. Make other payments as required.
  • Create and update children’s records on Capita/Mosaic and ensure that data is accurately inputted.
  • Assist in organising multi agency Panel meetings, if necessary, to enable informed decisions to be made in relation to packages of support for children and young people with EHC plans.

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Understanding of sensitivity of data/documents and the importance of security.
  • Experience of working with basic excel – keeping track of which tasks have been completed at an individual case level.
  • Ideally an experience of working with a system that stores data records – updating this, understanding the importance of accuracy.
