Hours: Mond-Fri 9am -5pm
Salary: PAYE £27.22/Umbrella £34.12
Temporary: Until 29/12/2024 with the possibility of extension
Are you an experienced Planning lawyer looking for an exciting new challenge? Our client is seeking a talented Senior Planning Lawyer to join their team. With a focus on strategic legal advice and delivering innovative solutions in planning and related areas, this role offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities:

- Support the Principal Lawyer and Legal Services management team in providing strategic, high-level legal advice to the Councils, Members, and Officers, in line with corporate goals.

- Assist the Team Leader in managing a diverse team of lawyers, legal officers, and support staff in a shared back-office support service.

- Lead and deliver a portfolio of high-quality, solution-focused legal work in multiple disciplines, across various locations, serving customers from different organisations.

- Collaborate with colleagues to support the strategic aims of the Legal Services department.

- Foster positive relationships with customers, acting as a relationship manager alongside the Principal Lawyer and developing and promoting new and innovative solutions.

- Contribute to business development efforts, identifying opportunities to maximise revenue and improve income generation while identifying potential cost savings.
Requirements:

- A strong background in planning law, with experience in delivering high-quality legal advice and solutions.

- Extensive knowledge of legal frameworks, regulations, and procedures related to planning and associated areas.

- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.

- Proactive and innovative mindset, with a keen eye for identifying opportunities and driving organisational growth.
- Membership in a relevant professional body or society is highly desirable.
